If I’ve learned anything since Michael Brown was killed in Ferguson, MO last summer, it’s that White Privilege is a real thing in the United States. Any white person that denies that I’d have to judge them as intellectually inferior and probably a total asshole.

I know you are younger, but do you have a feel for how what you said sounds to many of us that are boomers and have been around since the 50s?

And that is not to bust on you, Just the perspective and the times.

And then too, as I have posted many times…I grew up in a mixed neighborhood and played with and had many African American friends, neighbors and even a business partner. Lord knows I’ve known there was white privilege since I was old enough to figure it out. I would say 10 years old if not sooner…1964 or so.

Again…no offense to you. It’s a damn good lesson no matter when you learn it, but a lesson that shouldn’t have to be. It has been an issue for people of color for a damn long time.
