But I knew about HB2, however, I was unaware of the other effect on a suicide hotline that deals specifically with transgender people. Those hotlines are extraordinarily rare. In some cases, suicide hotlines are not well prepared (or even actually counter-productive) when dealing with transgender people, and having a hotline to specifically deal with those issues is literally a life or death thing.

So, yes, it was a nice thing and it got some free air-time, during which none of the shit the NC-GOP has done will be mentioned, nobody on the GOP side will be persuaded, and none of those fucked over by the NC-GOP will be helped.

In fact none of those fucked over by the NC-GOP will even be mentioned, even in passing.
