Holy shit, I can’t believe that is still there!
Although it certainly has historical value and interest, but what a god damn blot.

The official Louisiana State placard that was erected in the late 1950s stood until less than 10 years ago - it was removed when the city courthouse underwent a complete teardown and rebuild. It wasn’t much better - “carpetbag misrule” that is cited here is what the rest of the country called the post- Civil War Reconstruction.
