It’s really easy to explain why we’re seeing Nazis in 21st century America. The Republican party has pandered to the resentments of white racists ever since the civil rights laws of the 1960s passed.

When right wing political resentment is allowed to fester, Naziism is the inevitable result.

They were not about to distance themselves from these idiots when they shouted their hateful, racist slogans at GOP Town Hall meetings, and that was seen as a sign of encouragement.

Now it is too late, the GOP are too dependent on these people to do anything but whistle and look away and pretend they represent some fringe group with no association to themselves…
