Yes. With AOC, I think it’s resentment since she didn’t rise in the typical manner. She’s not someone who rose due to knowing the right people and having the right parents like I dunno Ivanka Trump and Meaghan McCain.

It’s a combination of misogyny and racism. But the GOP reacts that way to any Democrat that manages to gain the public’s attention. After all, the GOP have elected two presidents who acquired their nationwide fame as movie and/or television performers. Any Democrat who receives fame through mastery of the new media is a real threat to them.
