This probably wasn’t the motivation, though I don’t know. It’s a matter of training of these police, I think, and what Alouette just said. The knee jerk reaction is to shoot first and ask questions later.

You may be right, though i’m not so sure the police were unaware of who they were shooting at.

And that highlights the law of unintended consequences.
