Thing is, he’s not wrong that the ‘factchecker’ phenomenon is kinda bullshit that pretends to be a lot better researched and thought out than it is, but it’s not like that’s his actual criticism of it.

The real beef Cruz et al. have with fact checking is that it concedes the existence of facts.

Facts have a pesky tendency to conflict with right wing dogma, and are therefore undesirable.
