That’s a valid point for sure. But overall, I’m just stoked that he went after a bigot like Maher. Maher’s views on Muslims are really no different than that of Pamela Geller or Robert Spencer anyways. Just because he’s a liberal doesn’t mean he gets a free pass IMO.
After all, isn’t engaging in self-introspection an integral part of being a liberal as well?
I barely even consider Maher to be a liberal, TBH. More your garden-variety Glibertarian.
I think he earned the ‘liberal’ tag after he was kicked off of ABC, but it was mostly conservatives calling him that because he went after Bush.
