It was a very different time the 1980’s. I believe Reagan erred by failing to recognize AIDs. He did fund some research, but didn’t speak of it hardly.
I think that’s the first any only negative I’ve ever stated with regard to President Ronald Reagan.

I remember some patient advocacy groups complaining that Reagan had never even uttered the word “AIDS” publicly, let alone ordered adequate resources to fight it.

I might be able to find a few negatives in the Iran-Contra issue, too, but that would be a whole other can of worms to open.

That’s twice I’ve mentioned worms in this thread. I think I’ve never posted a comment mentioning worms before. What do you suppose that means?
