Comprehensive reform is the only reform that will work, and that will cost a heck of a lot of money and change the way we do business and agriculture in this country. Nobody is willing to take the steps necessary for that, and until then, anything in the way of “reform” is just political posturing.

Bush II did try to be reasonable on this issue, but no one would listen at the time. Now we are wondering why we didn’t.

WE aren’t going to mass deport —it’s not feasible and the visuals of such a thing would just be compared to Stalin. No one is going to do that.

We need to accept that since the Mexican-American War, people have been crossing the border at will, basically. It’s never been a problem, it is only one now because someone is using it for political gain.

The permanently paranoid are, of course, afraid of brown people.
