The RWNJs seem to delight in describing the caravan refugees as “hordes” (which they usually misspell as “hoards.”) This raises a question: How many hordes can you get into a bus? A standard ICE tent?

(This was inspired by something I read about the Korean War in T.R. Fehrenbach’s This Kind of War. The western press had become fixated on the Chinese “hordes,” with scarcely any action involving anything less than a horde. In fact, the Chinese operated mostly in platoon size or smaller groups, since to do otherwise was to invite instant destruction by UN aircraft and artillery. This led cynical GIs to quip, “Hey, Sarge, how many hordes in a Chinese platoon?”)
