Absolutely. My Nana had dementia. The kindness of strangers.
I was hired to cut the lawn of a woman with dementia (her daughter’s family lived around the corner, but no kids were home in the summer; ETA: when I was in middle school). She was so thankful and sweet as she paid me 25 cents, which must have been the going rate when she was young. I did it about four times for 25 cents until the daughter asked me if I was being paid and how much—she made it right, of course.
