I do think Meagan meant a figurative beauty contest but I agree, I don’t see Joe making the mistakes that John McCain did. McCain was desperate in the Summer of 2008 in a way Biden isn’t twelve years later.

Oh, I think she meant it literally. If you look at Palin’s cheerleaders from back in the day, most comments centered on her looks and how it made them, uh “feel.” Remember Rich Lowry’s little starbursts through the screen.
