Chris has been vocal about “centrism is of the devil” stuff. What these guys forget is that voting is only the BEGINNING of the work we need to be doing. Get Dems in office and then push them towards progressive policy. People forget that we do have agency outside the voting booth. But it takes time, energy, organization and direct action to accomplish these things. It’s never quick.

I would say that the LGBT community has probably done more to accelerate progressive policy passed because they have been organized and relentless and haven’t stopped because they know progress can be undone far quicker than it was implemented. We could all learn from that struggle.
