Nothing makes atheism more attractive than American Christianity

I must admit that my Roman Catholic upbringing plus all the Campus Crusade for Christ assholes going around the dormitory halls did a lot to put me off Christianity completely.

It was not until much later that I encountered Christians who just quietly live their faith without proselytizing. It showed me that there were some redeeming features to the religion.

Not enough to convert me, but enough to alter my opinion of it.
