The last place that someone with cancer wants to be is the ER.
1) That means that whatever cancer they’ve got is so bad that it’s causing serious issues (like falls, secondary health issues like breathing/heart issues, etc., that suggest mets or organ failure, etc); and
2) ERs do not provide cancer treatments. Period. It’s a holding place until a room upstairs opens up where they can provide those treatments.

There is no 3.

Believe me, I’ve seen this up close and personal too many times to count.
