Look, Pence, Paul Ryan, or any of the current Republicans in Congress would be amazingly awful as President. Any of them would be one of the worst, most regressive, most blatantly corrupt Presidents the US has ever had.

But there’s nobody who is as terrible a human being as Donald Trump is. The rest can at least behave like an adult in public. (Except maybe Louie Gohmert.) The rest are probably at least good to their own families.

The fact that millions of Americans believe Donald Trump is a paragon is a testament to the power of cult media, and also a stain that America can never erase.
