There is the connection then. The problem with digital data is how easy it is to connect it all together so quickly and efficiently.

Just think of Facebook, Twitter, Google, ATT, Verizon, Comcast, Charter and others all working together to build the Big Database we know nothing about? If those entities join hands and share with the government that is a lot of power.

The way they act, I guess I don’t trust them. And even without Facebook, I too would still fall into all those connections. We all do.

And if you want to go sci-fi/dystopian movie, they could create human bots running around doing what we do based on all that knowledge.

Say skiguy is standing at the bar in Utah at a ski resort he never skied and he hears some “guy” at a table behind him talking about teleskiing, being from Colorado and he likes Umphrey’s McGee and posts at a political site called Little Green Footballs.

And he just bought a car you get to pay for.

I dunno man. I just choose not to let it rent space in my head. The world is already complicated as is. As I said, we didn’t completely lose our privacy where our names, numbers, and addresses were put into telephone books. And FWIW my “job” on Facebook is a dummy one. Ski and Sionainn can both tell you that it’s an Always Sunny reference and that I dont’ seriously practice bird law.
