I believe there are rumos that Larry O’Brien, DNC Chair had incriminating info on Nixon’s brother Don regarding something between Don and Howard Hughes. It definitely wasn’t necessary. Nixon’s rise and fall would have made a great Shakespeare play and TBH while I enjoyed Frost-Nixon and I hear Nixon in China is good too, the better Nixon story is literally his life story. Probably one of the most modest backgrounds and most tragic of any modern American President- lost two brothers to TB by the time he was 20 and his rise in national politics was amazing. He went from being a Freshman Congressman to VP in six years. Now Obama did it in four but in that era, I think ti was more incredible. But his fall was so ugly but then there’s the other story where he enjoyed something of a reputation reboot since nearly every President after him sought out his advice on FP.
