re: #239 Intenzity

Sure, if they don’t take the house, and try to start impeachment proceedings or issue subpoenas for his “birth records” or who knows what other nonsense they will try to monkey about with. Even if they cant get the votes and just keep bringing it up and waste time for a year, its a year he can’t do anything to run on. They will play the clock and just keep the ball away from him, anyway, anyhow. Using any trick they can.

Lewinsky. Swift Boat. McCains black baby.

Its who they are. Its what they do. They do it against their own. They will do it with a vengeance against someone they hate. More “Defense of Marriage” amendments, impeaching supreme court justices, hearings, blah blah blah, anything to grind it out. Who knows what ridiculous nonsense they may try if they swing the house.

We must be watching two different elections. I dont know how old you are, but this ain’t my first rodeo. I have been through elections, I have able to vote since Clintons first run. Don’t ever remember a guy in a Nazi uniform making it to the final round as a congressman before. Maybe it has happened, but can’t think of it.

I have *zero* faith in the american people that elected bush twice, has let us fritter around in a war with *zero* tangible results except for record breaking profits for a decade, made Rush Limbaugh the number one radio host and Glenn Beck the number one TV star. Yes, they may be over represented, but people actually listen to them.

We shall see.

I hope to science you are right and I am nothing more than a hyper-ventilating moonbat.

My first vote was for Carter in 1980, but I wasn’t politically minded and only voted because I could and was raised a liberal. I got more excited about Clinton.

Bush wasn’t elected in 2000. He was appointed and he only won in 2004 because Kerry wasn’t that strong a pick and I don’t think folks wanted to change hands so close to the start of the war.

But yea, things have taken a bizarre turn that we haven’t seen, probably ever. I’m a cynical optimist… I’m not convinced the House is going Republican either. I think there’s going to be a lot of surprises and they will be liberal ones.
