The Republican Party on teachers: “Schools should have the ability to fire you at a whim and you’re a bunch of overpaid goldbrickers, BUT we’re prepared to pay you a bonus to play Rambo the next time a shooter shows up at your school.”

I imagine they think this is a way to turn teaching from a Liberal profession into a Conservative profession - entice wingnuts into the profession with the promise of being allowed - nay, REQUIRED! - to carry a gun.
