I am still trying to process the newly unearthed fact about the deputy staying outside. I am seeing humanity in almost every angle and respect, am actually pretty pleased with myself that I haven’t come to a real opinion yet….
But this is pretty damn basic and makes the point plainly….

Except the point is that, in situations like this, we cannot rely on the government to be ready for an event like a mass shooting. We cannot. Offense always has the upper hand. That’s why the answer is to remove military style weapons.
Edit:
There is no way to rely on the government to have the upper hand. You can’t be prepared for all situations. The shooter will always go first. That is why the solution is to remove military style weapons from the equation.
