Yep, we need to smarten up or we’ll be stuck with four years of Trump…again.

At the risk of sounding alarmist - I’m really fearful about what that could mean. For instance, elections being suspended indefinitely? Consider that back in 2017, “A poll found that 52% of people who identify as or lean Republican said they would support postponing the 2020 election to ensure that only eligible citizens could vote if it was proposed by President Trump.”

I have no trouble believing that a - God forbid 1000 times - Trump 2.0 would try to find a way of doing that very thing on the claim that our elections have become so corrupted and rife with fraud that no future election can be trusted until “we figure out what the hell is going on,” and therefore, the 2026 midterms and/or the 2028 Presidential Election would be postponed pending an “investigation” into the state of US election integrity.

Said investigation would then be next version of Trump’s health care plan or “Infrastructure Week,” and Trump would remain President until he croaks, to be succeeded by VP Ivanka or VP Junior, or perhaps VP Gym Jordan or Mark Meadows.

I will be delighted to eat crow on this…but…well…C’mon Dems!
