That’s the thing, the thing that has always made me step back from the smug thing—the knowledge that other people’s religions are just as Real™ and True™ to them as mine is to me. That’s why I never, ever get into discussions with fundies anymore. It’s just banging my head against a brick wall—I end up with a sore head and the wall remains standing.
