Steely Dan. I like this song. Reminds me of a road trip…

I drove from Phoenix to Las Vegas on AZ HWY 93 in an elderly Jaguar XJ6 which belonged to my parents. It was once grandma’s car, and I was entrusted to keep it well. I had the car because my Ford pickup was totaled on Scottsdale Rd. by an inattentive driver in s Chevy K5 Blazer. I listened to the radio for an hour or two as I drove northwest, then lost radio reception as I neared Wickenburg. Inside the center console were a few tapes, one of which was Steely Dan. I don’t remember which album the tape was, but I remember ‘Kid Charlemagne”. Of course the AC was broken, so I had the windows and roof open, and I enjoyed the hell out of that drive.
