Religion, belief system, cultural group, tribe, whatever. My point was this: the fact that she set off NOT OF OUR TRIBE, POSSIBLY OF THE MUSLIM TRIBE alarm bells in her class didn’t exactly make life easier for her.

Sounds like they were being twerps, and she didn’t handle it very professionally.

That said, I did once have to confiscate a Bible in class.
