Yeah. The ranks of Creationists, Truthers, and AGW Deniers are filled with the incompletely educated. One guy told me his favorite Conservative blogger had ‘a background in Science (psychology), and so I should believe it when the blogger says that there aren’t enough different weather stations in the world to tell you anything about temperature trends. Another thinks his experience as a polymer chemist trumps mine in Molecular Biology in discussing Evolution, particularly the mechanisms by which new genes are generated.

It is unfortunate that so many people are clueless about how little they know. Subject matter experts who think their expertise in their field magically translates to all other fields are especially irritating.
