I think his focus on the white middle class had more to do with winning rust-belt states (MI, WI, PA) than his being a bigot.

And if Bernie did ‘shut up’ like so many Democrats seem to want him to, then who would speak up? Boxer’s also retired. Schumer? Feinstein?

Where do you get that so many Democrats want him to shut up??? I don’t see that anywhere as a major thing. I do see plenty of Bernie supporters still snorting about him being screwed over by the DNC and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, and Clinton was the wrong candidate, the Democrats did this all to themselves, etc.

Maybe they need to shut up too, eh?

And as far as speaking up…he can but doesn’t speak for the Democratic party. He is not a member. So yeah, it would have to be someone else. And there will be. It is going to take time, the party needs some younger blood.

They should no longer count on Bernie for anything. And no that does not mean they can’t use his voting, etc. I said he can’t be counted on as in trusted.
