It’s funny, but imagine only reading book seven of Harry Potter, or even worse, book 13 of Lemony Snicket.

I started Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series in the middle somewhere (Interesting Times) and I am glad, because when I went back to read the first one in the series, I found it tedious and probably would not have continued with it.
