Perot’s entire campaign focused on national debt; no racism or sexism or social issues. Unlike Trump, he was a self-made legitimate billionaire. Unlike Schultz, his money came from technology — the industry of the future. He was crazy but brilliant.

My brother worked for a tech company that was swallowed by EDS. He said the swallowing process was not done with any sort of plan, or concern for proper function. It was just done for economic reasons, and it destroyed his company for no other reason. After a few years, it was spat back out again, a shadow of itself, and was bought up by Siemens. He thought Perot was ruled by his own whims, and had no respect for him at all.
