First, you can’t make noise if the media doesn’t amplify. Second a tiny minority watches cable news or reads news except what is passed around on social media so even if it is picked up it has little impact.

Social media has little to no impact in the rural areas of the USA where Internet service and cell phones are scarce.

Here it’s television (cable in the larger towns) with FOX or Sinclair-owned local stations, and the regional newspaper (leans heavily Republican), or Christian hate radio.

Repeat that across countless rural areas of the USA, and start counting electoral votes.
