It was a joke. He talks about it in his book Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell them. I can’t remember who it was targetted at— O’reilly? A spokeperson for Bill O? — The person in question had advocated violence in some way, made some comment about punching someone in the face, and Franken made a big stink at some public event like “Hey, I’m here. Let’s go! I used to wrestle!”

I just remember the video. It was years ago and IIRC it was well before he decided to run for office. I’ve never read his book, I just remember he was PISSED. If he was acting he was doing a helluva job but it was that wrestling thing that cracked me up. If I’m the only one who remembers seeing that then I might be crazy.
