No it’s not. It’s absolutely fair to point out that the American right wing had it in for Mandela for decades. Shit, just look at the NRO Corner article linked to above. It openly admits to all the fears that the RWNJs and the GOP operated under in the 80s and why they supported apartheid.

Look at the dipshits on the right who keep trying to turn Mandela into Pol Pot or Mao or Stalin. Face up to the fact that there are a substantial number of people on the right that were on the wrong side of history with Mandela.

I’m sure it’s coincidence that Obama’s first public attention was when he led the anti-apartheid student group at Occidental College (1980) — speaking at rallies, organizing students to demand the school’s endowment divest from stock in companies that did business there…
