Yeah, and this is the problem I have with my brother-in-law and his wife. They’re hyper-sensitive of police criticism, possibly because he takes it personally - but it’s like, no, dude, you’re one of the good guys. I’d trust you if you were put on the spot. But you can’t look me in the eye and tell me that these guys are doing the right thing and deserve to keep their jobs.

I have a friend on FB, buddy from College. He apparently became a cop, then a lawyer, but he posts a number of those ‘Blue Lives Matter’ and similar things. I told him that the petulant shit has to stop because people were losing confidence in the cops. Also they need to stop closing ranks and getting defensive when people are upset that a cop killed another unarmed person.

He told me we could have this discussion when I’d been a cop for 8 years.

I get real tired of that shit. If he thinks cops are ‘under siege’ now, just keep acting like the people who hire you, and pay you, and arm you have no right to tell you how to do your job. That goes over real well.
