The news that the Texas church shooter was supposed to be unable to buy gun under existing law is a real pisser. If we can’t pass the obvious bans like bump stock, can they at least do a better job with the laws already passed and long in? Some regard this argument as an argument against new laws. FTR, not intended here. I just think better enforcement like running down prohibited persons and getting the guns back out of illegal possession will help on the street.

Making the seller responsible will go a long way.
