All good man. You know who’s an underappreciated Founding Father since your post got me thinking about that excellent John Adams miniseries from some years back but Dr. Benjamin Rush. I have a special fondness for Founding Fathers like him, Franklin, Jefferson, and Washington that were men of multiple talents. Here’s his wiki if anyone is curious. He was anti capital punishment in the late 18th century and he advocated for women too.

Robert Carter III is another one worth considering. Freed 500 slaves because of the revolution and declaration. There’s a biography of his that I’ve been meaning to read for a long time.
