Bottom line:
The Chinese have about 75 ICBMs, some with MIRVs, and 3 opeational SSBNs with 48 missiles. My best guess is that they could get 100-120 nuclear warheads to the United States, assuming that 1 SSBN could get its missiles off and that there has been no change in MIRV strength. This is also assuming they use their whole long range arsenal, since their much greater number of short and medium range could still serve as a deterrent to Russia and India. All US bases between the eastern Pacific and the Persian Gulf would also be vulnerable to these shorter range weapons.

I would guess that we could then work our way back to the present Gross National Product within say, twenty years.
