Okay, I’m a native Virginian and I suggested:
George Marshall, James LaFayette(an African-American who was born into slave, joined the Revolution under Marquis Lafayette and provided intelligence that helped win the battle of Yorktown, and Winfield Scott (The first commander of the Union Army and a Virginia native.)
George Thomas, The “Rock of Chickamauga” would be another good choice.
