Much agreed. However, these Trumpers seem to tie it all to race. So I used ‘white’ to acknowledge that aspect.

In too many ways a lot of these people are making the U.S. Flag and something like The National Anthem symbols of racism. I’m pretty sure a lot of people of color are seeing it, and I bet the world is seeing it.

For whatever it’s worth, I will fight the idea that the flag and the country’s anthem are symbols of racism (though if you read the second verse of the Star Spangled Banner you can see that the idea of slavery and racism is part of the song).

They represent all the nation’s people, not just the racists.
