My Dad’s thinking abilities have been tragically altered.

I’m sorry to hear that.

I’ve avoided it inside my own family, but it’s been eating away at my mother’s friendships with her contemporaries (in their 70s). I’m feeling it less in my close relationships, but a great deal in acquaintances (including, of all things, my PTSD group).
