A friend of mine has a house in Georgetown about three doors down the block from Maureen Dowd’s at that time. I was there at a time when I was enjoying her writing, and remember standing outside and looking in the window, and feeling so close to power. snork. Ah, well. That was before she decided to chew the Clintons up and spit them out.

The very best column ABOUT Maureen Dodd is this masterpiece from Charles P. Pierce. (Have the kittens stopped screaming, Maureen?) It still makes me howl every time I read it.
