I defend my mormon friends against the barbs of people who just want to tee off on them with cheap shots, and it just so happens my mormon friends despise the organized anti-gay thrust of the LDS church as much as I do.

Right. Well, you know, church leadership in most all denominations does not always reflect the flock.
