Expect Israel’s restraint to be understood and internalized by Hamas and other extremists as a sign of weakness, not that it is done from a position of strength.

Israel is considering holding its fire to see if Hamas will do the same.

I’ve been wondering if Israel can spin this so that Hamas’ attacks are so feeble that it’s not worth responding to. I think the bus attack might change that possibility. Hamas may force Israel’s hand into responding.
