I once gave a young kid a dollar to go over and unplug the TV in a desperate situation like that. No one fixed it before I left.

Usually though I just make sure to bring a book and sit as far away from all TV’s as possible.

Yeah I should have brought my kindle. Oh well. Know this now if I ever go back to this office.
