The voters may have been taken for fools but the media was complicit by failing to provide sufficient and consistent information to the average person. When “serious” platforms spend every day talking about emails, but have only one article discussing Don the Con’s flaws, it’s easy for people to be overwhelmed. Look at the recent detailed report from the NY Times on Don’s finances. Did they have any consistent followup? Daily reminders? I don’t think so.

Fools do not educate themselves, they let those platforms do their thinking for them.

That is the single biggest reason we got Trump. No one bothered to check into his past. And the really foolish thing is that past is well documented so learning it would have been quick and easy.

Fools also delude themselves. It is a huge part of being a fool.
