I can only think of one GOPer in Congress who is not a Christian. Meanwhile I can think of two Democratic Buddhists- Senator Hirano and Representative Hank Johnson.

According to wikipedia, there’s 53 members of the House who are not Christian. In the Senate, there are 14 members who aren’t Christians.

Those are definitely not representative numbers of the general population. But when you’re dealing with 535 people representing 325 million people and bound by generally illogical and random boundaries, it’s hard to be perfectly representative.
