I think it was a fuckup. Reid’s rumor is that Romney didn’t pay taxes for ten years. If Romney reveals his tax records and ‘only’ didn’t pay taxes for two years, which is what I suspect is true, then some of the yappers will say “See? Reid said ten and it was only two. Dumb democrats.”

However, if Romney doesn’t release them even under this sort of hyperbolic attack, it is going to make people think “What the fuck is in there?”
