THe right to use any weapon to defend oneself, and others (including some property) from emminent danger is what is not specifically worded in the Constitution. THe 2nd Amendment and the recent SCOTUS decision is the best we have.

Well then how do we address gun violence. The problem is the 2nd often isn’t used for just self defense. The concept of firearms collecting was a foreign one to the Founders. I think we need to look at solutions to our gun violence problem. I’d love to live in a country where gun violence is rare. I am not idealistic enough to think it will be completely gotten rid of and we’ll have UK/Canada numbers but we can and ought to work to reduce it. Continuing with a 1789 interpretation of guns I think isnt’ gonna work.
