If he had repented his support of William Calley and the continued arming of an Indonesian dictator, I wouldn’t be this critical of him.

I can be critical of individual actions and still see the bigger picture. Jefferson owned slaves, should we throw him under a bus because that action (which was immoral but legal at the time) wipes out all the good he did?

Or is Carter just as bad as Reagan?
