I worked for Mark Udall (who lost to Gardner) and Udall ran a horrible campaign. I did a lot of canvassing that year… it was a crazy year here in CO. As who will run against him - I’d say Hickenlooper if he didn’t want to foolishly run for President (as I’ve heard whispered). I really can’t think of any big names to run against Gardner but CO has a ton more people (and much more liberal people) than we did even a few years ago. Just by aggregate of people Gardner should in theory have a hard re-election year.

Yeah I think Gardner along with Collins would be top challenges. In fact, I’d say Gardner more so than Collins since Colorado like my own state has become increasingly blue and he doesn’t have her longtime tenure either.
